There are 7 panels.
PANEL 1:Mako says, looking into the distance: “Apparently this was Captain Locke's first expedition”.
PANEL 2:He adds: “I wonder what it was like…”. In the image, two seated men in blue uniforms are viewing a large map spread out on a table, illuminated by a light from above, the map having a couple of pins stuck in it, marking strategic points. One of them has one hand resting against his leg, with his arm bent at a right angle. His right hand, which is gesturing over the map, is partially bandaged, with his ring and pinky fingers bandaged to the tips. He has long, black hair almost to his shoulders and a thin beard and mustache. Under the large blue uniform that looks like a coat, with epaulettes and gold details, he wears a light colored shirt buttoned to the neck, and a metal medal hangs on his chest.
PANEL 3:Detail of the medal, which is engraved with the following inscription: “KL2804-22,” and just below it, a line of text illegible due to its size. Further down is an engraved drawing of a bow and arrow. It hangs from a very thin leather strap.
PANEL 4:Mako touches the medal he himself is wearing, which is similar to the one mentioned earlier.
PANEL 5:Relaxed, Mako glances with the corner of his eye and asks Gus: “Are you tired?”.
PANEL 6:Gus nods slightly, without saying a word, while using one hand he readjusts his jacket on his shoulders.
PANEL 7:Mako lies back along the bench, with one hand on his abdomen and the other under his head, resting it on Gus's side. He announces: “Let's leave later”. Gus looks away as the wind moves his hair.
