Transcript
It is night in an open area, mostly flat and covered in snow, surrounded in the distance by a dark and dense pine forest. The sky is clear, a light blue that deepens as it recedes from the horizon. High in the sky, the full moon shines, illuminating the snow and giving it a bluish hue in patches. In the middle of the snowy ground stands a large bush that appears purplish in the night light. Emanating from beneath it, on the ground, is a large pool of blood that also seems purplish in the night light. On the bush, in the middle ground, lies Alan, face up, battered. His arms are limp, hanging loosely on the bush as well, covered in scratches. With his left hand, he clutches the hilt of his sword, barely able to lift it. Alan's face is bruised, his hair matted and dirty; one eye is swollen shut, barely able to open, and the other is covered with blood dripping from his head. Exactly centered above his head, as if sprouting directly behind it, glows a warm flame almost the size of his face. Around Alan are nine swords stuck vertically in the bush, as if they had fallen from the sky and surprisingly close to his body, almost encircling him.
