PANEL 1:Gefrei continues the narration: “It was regrettably as noble as it was incorrect, and the inadequates made use of the time we were out of their way, without keeping an eye on them, to plan their attack. It’s been only two weeks since the attack”. The image is a close-up of Commander Frederick's profile, without his glasses, in daylight, shrewdly looking to one side.

PANEL 2:Gefrei goes on: “They were prepared and equipped for escaping: armed, with provisions, clothes and bags that infer a trip. With the finger on the trigger they took another noble life, and in the confusion slipped into the forest in the night”. In the image, Fran is standing in the middle of a town street. She is wearing a dark shirt with a jacket over it. Her face is one of resentment and contempt as she points a gun in the direction of the commander.

PANEL 3 and 4:The narration continues: “Co-commander Lioba went to chase them with a small group. We didn't want to allow them to settle in the forest and attack again”. Each panel shows Hector and Alan respectively, equipped with their backpacks. Both express hostility and loathing towards the same subject.

PANEL 5:Gefrei says: “Dead or gone, I am at ease that they are here no longer”. The image shows in detail the startled commander, with his head looking to the side, while his glasses, barely held to his neck by their thin strap, slip out of place.

PANEL 6:Gefrei concludes: “There is no way to predict how someone possessed by a vengeful heart will act”. In the image Fran looks at her target with sharp seriousness and precision.
