There are 5 panels.

PANEL 1:Mako and Gustav remain seated, serious, almost stoic, looking at their interlocutor.

PANEL 2:Gefrei calmly and firmly places one hand on the desk, and with the other he takes a sip from his glass of water. He adds: “It was a clean elimination. The foreigner fell, and with him the smith that housed them. The boys had gone to the forest, we presume to camp again”.

PANEL 3:Mako asks: “Didn’t that create more issues with the townsfolk?”. He makes a subtle gesture with his hand, which reveals his small scars, as if searching for an explanation. Meanwhile, Gefrei gets up from his seat.

PANEL 4:Gefrei leans lightly on the desk with one hand and raises the other in a nonchalant gesture. The expression on his face also reflects his indifference. He replies: “It was suspected that the smith had a gun, and they both died by a gunshot. Maybe they killed each other?”.

PANEL 5:The glass, half filled with water, lies motionless on the table. Gefrei speculates: “Or the boys may have ended their lives because of some family squabble?”.

Regarding how we translate dialogue: we do the translations ourselves. It is important for us that how people speak is reflected both in spanish and english, sometimes a character speaks with a specific quirk or broken grammar, and it would be a pity that it did not reflect on the translations. I mention this because I’ve noticed I write author comments (like this text right here) in English first, but dialogue is first written in Spanish. It probably has to do with me being used to explaining things in English since my line of work requires it, but my creative process feels more natural and nuanced in Spanish. Not that it really matters, but I found it interesting.
