There are 5 panels.
PANEL 1: On the table are a couple of humble loaves of bread, divided into pieces for each diner, a bottle of water, and glasses for everyone. The candles in the center are still glowing. The woman gently strokes her daughter's face as she eats quickly. The man continues eating from his bowl. The old man has removed his wide brimmed hat and is leaning comfortably against the back of his chair, swirling the contents of his glass with his hand. With a smirk, he asks Hector: "And what was your business with those jackals?".
PANEL 2: The man, sitting next to him, contradicts him, much to the old man's displeasure: "And why so sure they were jackals?".
PANEL 3: The old man looks him in the eye and touches his nose, stating: "I just know it! I'd recognize them from a league away, I can smell what they are inside".
PANEL 4: Fran remarks, glancing seriously to the side: “He’s right tho. They came from the other continent, or at least that’s what we think”. The old man exclaims: “See!?”, while pointing in her direction, shamelessly rejoicing in front of the man, who displays a subtle grimace of surprise.
PANEL 5: Fran gazes into the distance, reminiscing with a bitter taste. She begins to narrate: “They started settling slowly south from here, in Ayr…”. Fran’s picture then blurs, giving way to a picture of a village of low houses, with clouds in the background and a couple of birds flying.
