It's daytime in the forest, and Vince and Wade are resting among clumps of wild grass on the edge of a clear body of water, possibly a river. Both have their feet inside the water, almost up to their knees, with the ends of their pants wet from not rolling them up. Vince is lying peacefully on his back, with one arm folded behind his head as a pillow and his eyes closed. His face shows a few wrinkles that mark the passage of time. Likewise, his black hair has gray roots; his beard also has gray patches. He is wearing a dark tank top and light-colored pants, both in greenish tones. To one side of him, on the grass, are a mate and a tin kettle. Just a few inches away is a fishing rod, wedged almost vertically, in between two small rocks sticking out of the ground. The line of the rod hangs over the water and ends in a submerged red hook. Wade sits beside him, his hands resting on the ground and his torso leaning slightly back. He is wearing a light blue shirt, roughly rolled up to the elbows, and dark trousers. On his head is a brimmed leather hat with two thin, loosely tied strings ending in a knot. Wade wears a black eyepatch over his left eye. His thin beard and tuft of hair also appear to have some gray strands, and his facial skin looks thin, slightly aged. He looks ahead, his gaze calm and thoughtful. To one side, the hilt of his sheathed knife appears. A few centimeters away, a tin bucket sits on the ground. The two men are protected from direct sunlight by some trees and bushes growing above them. The dim sunlight filters through the leaves, projecting itself into countless tiny lights and shadows of varying hues. The title "Degaussing" floats at the top of the image, in textured yellow letters and a dark brown border. The number 5 floats in the lower right corner.
