PANEL 1: Gefrei continues: “They attacked her in the night. One of us saw them camping not too far, traces show that one of them sneaked into the cabin”. In the image, Wade is entering through the cabin window, his eyes open wide and pupils constricted, his face with an expression of derangement. He already has one foot inside the house and the other passing through the window; he is gripping the frame with one hand and holding an axe with the other.
PANEL 2: Gefrei concludes: “Where the lieutenant was”. Lieutenant Emma, blonde, with bangs and straight hair tied in a bun, clutches her scarf with one hand and extends the other in front of her, trying to get away from the attacker. Grayish patches of skin are visible on her bare arm. She screams in horror, her eyes bulging.
PANEL 3: Back at the family man's house, the family, Fran, and Hector are still seated at the table. Fran, with a troubled expression, continues the narration: “But soon after…”.
PANEL 4: She brings her hand to her mouth, closing her eyes tightly, distressed. Sensing this, Hector tries to speak for her: “There was an incident. We didn’t want to ask for the details, but we could get an idea…”.
