PANEL 1: With a calm face, the guide stands up.

PANEL 2: He affectionately rests his hand on Alan's head, who looks at him suspiciously out of the corner of his eye and starts to cough.

PANEL 3: Alan continues sitting and hugs himself from the cold. Meanwhile, he observes the guide, who has moved a few meters away to detach some low branches from a pine tree with his hands.

PANEL 4: In the white ground there is a shallow hole containing some rocks, short branches and pine cones. To one side, the ax rests, with its edge buried in the snow, next to an even smaller hole. Both holes seem to be connected by a narrow tunnel.

PANEL 5: The guide's hands hold two stones and strike one against the other, generating a spark.
