There are 3 panels.

PANEL 1: The three try to hide behind a bush, peering over it. Far below the small hill they're standing on, they spot Alan, Fran, and Hector walking.

PANEL 2: Alan and Fran stop in their tracks when they spot the mercenaries in the distance. Alan inadvertently drops the map he was carrying for guidance and stares into the distance. Fran, who was eating an apple, also freezes in shock. Hector walks a few steps behind, carrying a long stick to help him walk. He's the only one facing almost backward, admiring details of the landscape. He asks distractedly, pointing away and unaware of the danger: "What is that fruit called? I don’t remember seeing it in Ayr, but I feel like I’ve seen it before…".

PANEL 3: Alan and Fran's faces grow more tense, both of them motionless, neither saying a word. Hector moves forward without looking ahead and clumsily bumps into Fran, causing her to drop the apple from her hand. Hector places his hand on Fran's shoulder in apology: "Oh, sorry", as he turns to see what they're looking at.
