PANEL 1: Mako recounts: “Ewald told us what happened to Commander Frederick and Lieutenant Emma” as he looks softly to the side, as if remembering something unpleasant.
PANEL 2: Gefrei responds: "Very regrettable. These past few months haven't been merciful". He holds his glass of water with notable firmness, resting on the table.
PANEL 3: He continues: “Local animosity claimed the lieutenant as its victim, and her death propagated uncertainty…”. He takes a sip of water to his mouth. Alteir answers: "Very regrettable indeed. According to your last report I would have thought that the integration was going well. Except for...".
PANEL 4: Gefrei interrupts firmly but calmly, giving his version: "A few isolated incidents, yes. Those incidents precisely were not only particular events but also concrete people". He gestures with his hand as he narrates, emphasizing.
PANEL 5: Mako, who has been listening attentively, asks seriously: “Any way we can help with the… What did you call it? Uneasiness?”.
PANEL 6: Gefrei rectifies what Mako said: "Uncertainty, sir. Worry not. Your mere presence here reassures of the certainty that still our hands serve the nation, and our needs occupy the mind of the cabinet". He continues to articulate his words with hand gestures. A few meters away Gustav continues to listen attentively.
PANEL 7: Alteir responds: “Aha… I see…”, while he leans back in his chair comfortably.
