PANEL 1: Fran continues to smile at the boys and gives them a thumbs-up, signaling that everything is fine. A girl sitting behind Fran looks to the side, quite irritated.

PANEL 2: The boys sit a short distance from Fran but not right next to her, because the story is just beginning. As they settle down, the boy in the green shirt smiles and gives Fran the same thumbs-up gesture.

PANEL 3: Fran looks down. She seems a bit let down, disgruntled by the situation. The kids around her look ahead, attentively. The girl behind Fran is still upset, and tells the boy sitting next to her to be quiet, putting her index finger to her lips.

PANEL 4: The lady, more serious now, barely extends a hand seeking to attract attention. Without further ado, she begins her story: “It was a dark day. Dark as the night…”.
